Philosophy
The origins of the By Esme design concept are found in the intelligence of the creative recycling I’ve observed throughout my travels to undeveloped countries.
I find poverty to be one of the most intelligent triggers to put the creative mind into action. The results are amazing and truly inspirational.
Every item is re-used in many ways, its life is as long as its endless posibilites of transformation, giving life to new objects... Which are created thus from pieces of other transformed artifacts.
This is the philosophy behind every item I create. I find it is a fun way of dealing with world waste at the same time.
Besides, By Esme also contributes to create work in the areas where the concept originated. The production of my designs could only be handcrafted by the masters of the creative recycling themselves.
